Terms & conditions
Our full terms & conditions will be provided at the first session; however clients should be aware of the following prior to booking.
Unless prepayment has been made online and confirmation received, payment is due at the treatment session.
As much notice as possible should be provided for cancellation of an appointment as the slot may not be re-bookable at short notice and I do spend time preparing for every client. Appointments that are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the current fee for the applicable standard single session.
The client is responsible for ensuring their physical and psychological fitness before the hypnotherapy session, if necessary by consulting their doctor or psychiatrist. This is particularly important in cases of severe depression, epilepsy, cancer pain or other painful conditions, or other mental illnesses. Occasionally, I may require written medical permission to proceed to be obtained.
Where a client is a child (under 16 years of age) or vulnerable adult, the responsible parent, guardian or carer must be present at all times. Clients aged under 16 require written consent of the parent or guardian to be provided prior to the treatment session.
We will manage your personal data in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). A copy of our Privacy Notice can be viewed HERE.
Participation in therapy can result in a number of benefits to you, including improving relationships and resolution of the specific concerns that led you to seek assistance. It may help you deal with difficult feelings or experiences, or address issues that have been troubling you. Working toward these benefits requires effort, and therapy relies on your active involvement, honesty, and openness in order to help with the concerns that have brought you to it. Your therapist may ask for your feedback and views on the process, its progress, and other aspects of the therapy and will expect you to respond openly and honestly.
Sometimes more than one approach can be helpful in dealing with a certain situation. During evaluation or therapy, remembering or talking about unpleasant events, feelings, or thoughts can result in your experiencing discomfort or difficult feelings such as anger, sadness, worry, fear, etc. or experiencing anxiety, depression etc. Your therapist may challenge some of your assumptions or perceptions or propose different ways of looking at, thinking about or handling situations that can cause you to feel upset, angry, depressed, challenged or disappointed.
During the course of therapy your therapist may utilise various psychological and motivational approaches according, in part, to the problem that is being treated and their assessment of what will best benefit you. If you would like to know more about the approaches your therapist uses, they will be happy to discuss this with you. If you know you would like a specific model of therapy, please discuss with this your therapist.
